Throwing Rocks @ Hornets Nests

Do you know how when you were a kid there was always some neighborhood boy who couldn’t help but throw rocks at an already agitated hornets nest? It didn’t matter what anyone said, it didn’t matter how many times people got stung because of it…; all that mattered was the unrelenting desire to further disturb the hornets nest. The boy couldn’t resist, no matter how hard he tried. There was no denial. No choice. It had to be done.

In a way, I am that boy, but instead of throwing rocks at hornets nest, I take aim at people and their relationships. A shit disturber, that’s me. Often, I find myself doing it without even realizing it. Then there are those times when I do it having full knowledge of the trouble I am causing... but in both cases, I somehow still am surprised whenever I see how much pain, anger, and sadness is exposed in the outcome.

I’ll think to myself. “It was just a little jab, a joke; I was just fucking around, you know? What’s the big deal? Why are they so mad? Why are they overreacting? Can’t they take a fucking joke?”

It’s not usually until much later that I realize that I was in the wrong... and usually by then the whole thing has either blown over and there isn’t really an apology needed or it has blown up and one isn’t welcomed or wanted.

I’ve lost a few friendships because of my behavior. I’ve made a few enemies with it too... All because I couldn’t resist my impulse to poke that nest with a sharp little stick. To throw that rock. To make that joke. To take that jab. To make that final step... that final step gone too far.

the very near future. Just, right now, I’m a little overwhelmed
and my brain has the blue screen of death at the moment…

I hate having to say this and it breaks my heart to do so but, the simple fact is that I’m going to have to get rid of my dog Halo. It’s not something that I want to do and if I could find a new place that I could afford that would allow me to keep her, I would keep her.

I sent an ad request into Columbia Tribune tonight and I’ll be making a poster to take down to Harrisburg to put up in the store and at Lonnie Rays.

I’m really upset... this fucking sucks.

Blowing Out On 63

Why does it seem like every time I'm really looking forward to something, something bad happens?

All week long I've been looking forward to picking up Saw IV and going to see Cloverfield again. So this morning, I get up like normal and do the normal routine. I stop and get some gas, pick up mileage check, and take the clients to work. Then, on my way home, I'm driving down 63 and BOOM! My front right tire blows out and I loose control of my car for a minute. Thankfully thou, I was able to regain control and get over on the shoulder without incident/accident.

So I pull over and this soccer mom pulls over and asks if I'm ok. I said yea and she offers to let me use her cell phone. I'm shaking at this point because of the mixture of adrenaline and anger pulsing through my veins. I call the roadside assistance that I have with the warranty on my car and they come out.

Now, there is SUPPOSED to be a small donut tire on the bottom of my car towards the back but neither the tow truck guy nor I could see it. So, I ended up having my car towed to Wal-Mart, which only cost me $20 bucks which I will get reimbursed for by the warranty people and had a new tire put on; which just cost me a little over a $100 dollars.

Right off the bat, that was just over $120 dollars out of my $170 dollar mileage check and that's before getting any of the things that I needed to get. This morning, I put $10.00 of gas in my car before all this happened, so I'm going to need to put more gas in my car (probably before the end of the weekend) and I had to get some essentials for the house (toilet paper, ect...).

So, as it stands right now, I have about $35 dollars to my name... which will barely be enough to fill my gas tank.

Fuck...

... I just want to crawl into a hole right now and feel sorry for myself...

But I know myself pretty well... I'm pretty fucking stubborn... so the smart money is on me still seeing Cloverfield sometime today... even thou I can't really afford it and probably really shouldn't.

... I'm still seeing that fucking movie; damn the rest!

to sneak downstairs here and there and edited the bit for Gimmie Truth.

And now I'm done, it's finished, and I think... I think I'm happy with it...

Earlier tonight, I guess I was dehydrated because I started freezing. Then, I started to shiver. A little at first but within 30 minutes, they turned into violent tremors. I covered myself with my two heaviest blankets and drank water. After about an hour, my chest hurt and I was having troubles breathing and I was still freezing.

I threw on a hoodie and jumped in my car and made my way up to Boone County Hospital, with the heater jacked up to high. I sat in the parking lot for about 20 minutes before I turned around and left. I made my way across town and bought me the biggest glass of Gatorade I could find and then drunk it down. I came home and got back under the blankets, where I stayed until about 1:30, when I finally stopped shaking and I finally stopped freezing.

I got out of bed and I was dizzy and my neck was throbbing in pain. I took the heat pack, warmed it up and applied it for 10 minutes after taking an ibuprofen. After that, my body was worn out so I went back to bed. After lying in there for nearly an hour and a half, I got up. My neck, my back, my chest, all either hurt or ached. And now I'm sweating. I'm burning up. I'm clammy and I can't seem to cool down.

So now I'm back at the same point I was earlier... wondering if something is wrong enough to warrant a trip to the ER. Wondering if there is anything I should be doing differently now. Wondering... but knowing, in the end, I ain't going anywhere.

I think this categorizes tonight as being a "bad night"...

I got back from the doctor about an hour ago.
I hate doctors.
They still have no idea what's wrong with me.
Everytime I go, it's a different theory.
Now there testing me for something that has never been diagnosed
inside of the United States and has only been diagnosed in a small
handful of people in... wait for it... ... ... ... ... ... ... Pakistan.

Yea, I'm not holding my breath... I'll find out in two weeks when
they come up with another brain dead theory...

huge yellowchicken costumes and they where chasing after little
children and yelling at themfor not finishing their cream of
mushroom Cambell's soup.

And then there was Clarise and I, dancing and singing

This is my world as it comes undone.

I'm tired. My life swirls and spins and dives within the chaos of my professional world. My work invades my life at every turn and I feel like there is no escape. Even when I sleep and dream, my work is there, waiting for me.

I wake up tired. I'm always tired. Always worn out. Always on edge.

My life is spinning out of control.
My personal life seems no more.

I'm tired of dealing with everyone else's pain.
Dealing with everyone else's psycho insanity.
I'm tired of the un-ending questioning and the constant explaining I have to do when ever someone get's upset.

I want to escape.
I want to rest.
I want to have my life back.
